Birthplace of poet Krishnachandra Majumdar of Senhati village in Dighalia Upazila of Khulna district. The short poem titled 'Two Poems' of the poet has got a timeless place in Bengali literature. Poems like 'Candles burning in the joy of the mind on public day' or 'When happy people will understand my pain' are considered to be readable in Bengali life.

Bakultala (Deputy Commissioner's Bungalow)
The bungalow of the Deputy Commissioner of Khulna is reminiscent of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the proverbial novelist of Bengali literature. This bungalow was his residence when he was the Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector of Khulna from 180-184 AD. Sitting on the ground floor of this house on the banks of the Bhairab River, the poet wrote his famous novel and his first love novel in Bengali books, Kapalakundla.

At that time cooperative banking system was introduced for the economic development of rural people. 1909 Establishment of Co-operative Bank in Saliniz Janmabhoomi. In 1903, Sir P, C, Roy, the first R, K, B, Kehrish Chandra, the founder of education in South Bengal, was named after four villages.

The ancestral home of the former poet Rabindranath Tagore is located in the Pithabhog village in Rupsha Upazila in Khulna district. Dakshindihi is the place where the memory of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore meets. Crowded with flowers, fruits, and various trees, Shantagram-Dakshindihi. Fultala Upazila is 19 km northwest of Khulna city. South Dehigram is three kilometers northwest of Upazila Sadar. Right in the middle of the village stands a two-storied building in memory of Rabindra-Mrinalini. This is the house of Rabindranath Tagore's father-in-law.

South Delhi has close ties with the famous Tagore family of Jora Sanko in Kolkata. Masada Sundari Devi of Rabindranath Tagore was born in the village of Dakshindihi. Rabindranath's aunt Tripura Sundari Devi is the daughter of this village. Mrinalini Devi, the wife of Rabindranath, is the daughter of Dakshin Dahir. Her good name is Bhavatarini, after marriage, her name is Mrinalini Devi. In his youth, the poet visited his uncle's house in Dakshindihi village with his mother several times. Busts of poets and poetesses have been placed here. Rabindra Jayanti and Poetry Day are celebrated here on 25th Baishakh and 22nd Shravan with various arrangements.
