Baliati Zamindar Bari is located in Baliati village in Saturia upazila of Manikganj district in Bangladesh. Which is approximately 8 km west of the district headquarters and 35 km away from the Dhaka district headquarters. Baliati Zamindar metropolis This zamindar home is placed with a complete of seven installations. Tradition still stands proudly as a witness of the future. Not all the buildings of this Baliati zamindar house were erected together.
The various buildings belonging to this palace were erected at different times by different heirs of the zamindar family. Currently the central block is the museum. This palace is preserved and managed by the Asian country archeologic Department. The Baliati zamindar dynasty later originated from a lower class Saha family.
Places to visit:
The Baliati zamindar's house has lovely buildings, construction techniques and ornaments. the large building reminds North American country of the wealth of the zamindars throughout the zamindar amount. Ignoring storms, rains and clouds, it still survives as a witness of tomorrow. As soon as the lion enters the door of the zamindar's house, a wide courtyard can be seen.
There are four multi-storied buildings standing in the same line. Behind these are the zamindar's inner palace and a few ponds. Inside the zamindar house, a museum has been set up in a building known as Rang Mahal. The whole zamindar's yard is encircled by a high wall. every of the two hundred rooms within the ancient palace has masterful workmanship of ancient art. The palace complex is an assembly of seven buildings spread over an area of about 18,554 square meters. Each building was inbuilt the nineteenth century.
There square measure 2 stone statues of Teji Singh on either aspect of the doorway of the zamindar house. Then you will see the wide courtyard. At present it is a flower garden. Giant pond in the back inner courtyard. There is a toilet on one side of the pond. There area unit four paved aesthetic ghats round the lake. Each wall of the house is 20 inches thick. Limestone and powerful clay are used rather than cement in masonry. Iron sheets have been used instead of iron rods. Inside is an iron staircase. It is thought that the four front palaces were used for business purposes. The Govindaram family lived in Andarmahal.
Baliati Palace:
Baliati Palace is one of the architectural masterpieces. The vast palace consists of five distinct blocks. Apart from one block on the east, 2 of the four blocks have a two-storey building and a three-storey building with never-ending porch.. Andaramahal behind the palace. The building on the north side is made of wood. The huge palace is surrounded by high walls. Each semi-circular arch-shaped lion carved toran exists.
Shelter:
The tradition of the zamindar house started from the center of business. And this barracks is thought to have been a huge ball of salt. Since the zamindars were devout, worship was performed in the temple of the house. The war of independence was looted here.
West House:
The house is called Paschim Bari as it is located in the western part of the zamindar house. In 184 the zamindar's successor zamindar Kishorilal Roy Chowdhury established the famous Jagannath College.
Purbabari:
The house is named Purbabari because of its location in the eastern part of Baliati. The first zamindar of this house was Roy Chan. He married two. He donated ten annas to the children of the first wife and six annas to the children of the second wife. The zamindar house of Dash Ani is now a tourist attraction. There are four huge buildings from west to east. These square measure referred to as huge aspect, middle aspect, new aspect and little aspect. The zamindar house of six annis does not exist at present.
When the Baliati zamindar house is open / closed :
Baliati Zamindar Bari is closed for full day on Sunday and half day on Monday. Also closed on other public holidays. It is receptive guests on a daily basis from nine am to five pm.
